The Lumbee Tribal Government is being very, very strange and extremeley evasive. With my help, Lumbees in Five States have contacted the Tribal Office exactly 467 times (as of today January 8, 2004) since the Summer of 2002 via phone calls, e-mails, and U.S. Mail Letters. Each and every phone call has been documented by phone records and phone bills via Alltel Wireless. Each e-mail has been documented via "Respond Opening Confirmation" software. Letters have been sent regular U.S. Mail with some being sent "Registered Confirmation." So the proof is there that Lumbees in Five States have tried to achieve communication with the Tribal Office. BUT: Not a single reponse has came from either Darlene Jacobs - Tribal Administrator or Jimmy Goins - Tribal Chairman or Milton Hunt - past Chairman. Specific Questions have been asked of these three involving Lumbee Recognition, Lumbee Employment, Lumbee Involvement, and the issue of the Fake Lumbees in California and 12 other states. As anyone can see such communication from the Tribal Office is absolutely terrible. Now get this: I have been contacted by Indians (many Elders) from other Tribes (Seminole, Creek, Cherokee, Miami, and others) that they support the Lumbee and have tried to communicate with the Tribal Office to show support and see what they can do to help with the Lumbee Bill. Each and every one of those Indians from other tribes have told me and showed me proof that the Lumbee Tribal Office has shuned them and not returned a single call, e-mail, or reponse to a single letter. The Tribal Office is greatly hurting us and this in just one case in point with proof that is it real. We must stop hurting ourselves - it only makes us the laughing stock to other Indians.
