I have lived in Robeson County, outside Robeson County in North Carolina and outside the state of North Carolina and even outside the South East. If you are Lumbee - it makes a difference regardless of where you do or don't live. Take it from me and others way outside the state - the Lumbee are not getting the respect we deserve. Yes there is some support and respect from other Tribes but not near as much as is needed and not near as much as the non-support and dis-respect that we get from other Tribes. I travel a great deal and have seen this. Other Tribes litteraly laugh and make fun of how we "scew ourselves." This is no lie. I fear what is going on and wonder if we well get it fixed.
