It never ceases to amaze me at how one person out of a group of 75 can be made the scape goat for the ailments of the process. Didn't Ms. Jacobs have a superior to answer to? Since all the hoopla about Lumbee Tribal Housing, I have yet to hear anyone question what responsibilities the Tribal Chairman, Milton Hunt, had to play in this scenairio. Didn't he know what was going on. Think before you answer. Where members of the Tribal Council unaware of what was going on with housing? Think before you answer. It would appear that much happens, but noone wants to take the blame. The reality is, anyone who is elected to serve the Lumbee people are held accountable, ignorance is not a defense, and I dare say that neither the executive, legislative or judicial bodies were unaware! Ms. Jacobs wound up in a game of hardball and got some undeserved hard knocks. I know one thing, we better keep our eyes peeled, cause things haven't hit the fan yet. For those who have eye problems; laser surgery won't be sufficient, you're gonna need a transplant!
