We would like to take this opportunity to correct your information regarding the hearings held in Raleigh . Darlene Jacobs as Council Member of District 14 in the fall of 2000 NEVER encouraged us, her constituency in this district to vote against the Constitution. If anything Ms. Jacobs asked us to support the Constitution, that we needed a Constitution in place for Federal Recognition. At these public community meetings, attendees viewed copies of the Constitution and voiced their concerns with the wording or lack of in the Constitution. After opinions and concerns were noted this information was relayed to Ms. Jacobs and she reported it back to the Council as requested by the community. These were NOT her views, but those of her constituency. We recall the negativity we received from you in an email about our community meetings. We attended all the public meetings during that time frame and we do not recall your being present at any of these meetings, so whoever gave you this information lied to you. Please in the future make sure you have the FACTS before you start spewing them on your site. Of all the accusations you have made about Ms. Jacobs it seems you are privy to a lot of inside information for someone who has NOT been employed by the Tribe for over a year. If your inside source is relaying the same untruths as those relating to the Raleigh community meetings, then we suggest you be very careful what relay to the public on this site.
