Thank you for concern about facts. I would like to refer you to the minutes of the Tribal Council of Septgember 27, 2001, October l, 2001 and October 11, 2001 and the motions made that called for rescinding action to delay the referendum on the Lumbee Tribal Constitution. I believe you can find in those minutes motions that indicate pros and cons about whether or not the people understood the constitution and the activities that had been undertaken to ensure that the constitution had been widely disseminated for information and review. My information is based on the news reports show on the front pages of local, state and national newspapers that report to the world. I have no inside sources except that I did take it upon myself to contact HUD officials who advised me in October that problems under scrutiny and investigation occurred after I left the agency in December 2002. I maintain my position on irresponsible leadership and if I step on someone's foot, they had no business with their feet in the aisle.
