Robin - Let me remind you that I am not under investigation - the Lumbee Tribal Council, the Tribal Administrator and the Tribal Chairman are under investigation. Why don't you wait before you jump so quickly as Darlene did in "blaming the previous administration" until the HUD report is ready and then see who is responsible for exactly what has been done. My efforts in this have been to let the people know that the "previous administration" did not leave any problems to be inherited, certainly not like the ones that are currently experienced. As to the audits and your call for facts - 2 audits were conducted by a CPA for the Lumbee Self-Determination Commission and the third audit was done by the contracted audit firm for external audit. Under the Single Audit Act, HUD investigates aboves and beyond what has been audited and this is what is going on now with the upcoming HUD review and investigation. Check the facts Robin - but I don't believe HUD has conducted an audit yet. This is my lasst response to you in terms of justifying my position. The message board was created to discuss issues not blame because enough of that has been done in newspapers about the "former administration." You need to take that up with the source.
